Monthly Update-March 2026
A total of seventy (70) violent incidents were recorded across Ghana in March 2026. Of these, Physical
violence accounted for 24 incidents (34%). There were 19 (27%) cases of Economic violence while Gun
related incidents comprised 16 incidents (23%). There were 7 (10%) incidents of Social Violence and 2 (3%)
cases of Sexual Violence. Psychological incidents also contributed 2 (3%) cases. There were no Political
violent incidents recorded during the period.
Regionally, the Greater Accra Regions recorded the highest number of incidents, with 19 cases. This is
followed by the Ashanti Region and Central Region with 16 and 10 cases respectively. There were 6 cases
in the Northern Region and 4 cases in the Eastern Region. Bono and Oti regions recorded 3 cases each
whereas Savannah, Bono East, Western North, and Upper West Regions also recorded 2 cases each. Western
Region recorded 1 case. There were no cases in the Upper East, Volta, Ahafo and North East Regions.
