A total of Eighty-Eight (88) violent incidents were recorded across Ghana in April 2026. This is the highest record on monthly basis since 2022. Of these, Physical violence accounted for 30 incidents (34%). There were 21 (24%) cases of Gun violence while Economic related incidents comprised 18 incidents (21%). There were 8 (9%) incidents of Psychological Violence and 7 (8%) cases of Social Violence. Sexual incidents contributed 3 (3%) cases. There was one (1) incident of Political violent during the period. Regionally, the Ashanti Region recorded the highest number of incidents, with 29 cases. This is followed by the Greater Accra Region with 16 cases. Eastern and Central Regions recorded 8 cases each and Northern Region recorded 6 cases. There were 4 cases each in Bono East and Western North Regions respectively. Upper East and Oti Region recorded 3 incidents each whiles Western, Volta and Upper West Regions contributed 2 cases each. Bono Region recorded 1 case. Three regions including Savannah, North East and Ahafo did not record an incident
