The Greater Accra Region leads the violent incidents count with 45 (37.2%) incidents. Ashanti Region
follows with 20 (16.5%) incidents. The Central Region followed with 13 (10.7%) incidents. Eastern
region recorded 11 (9%) incidents. The Western Region recorded 10 incidents representing 8.3%. The
remaining regions recorded single digit violent incidents. Only Western North and Ahafo regions did
not record an incident.

Political, Physical and Gun violence dominates the 4
th qtr. media reportage of violent incidents.
Together they contribute 111 (92%) of the violence for the period. This is the first time that
Political/electoral related violence has emerged as top-ranking type of incident in the rankings of the
media monitoring since 2021.
