A total of Seventy-Seven(77) violent incidents were recorded across Ghana inAugust 2026. Of these,
Physicalviolence contributed32 incidents (42%). There were 27 (35%) cases of Gun violencewhile Sexual
related incidents comprised 6 incidents (8%). There were 5 (6%)incidentsof Economic Violence and 4 (5%) cases of PsychologicalViolence.T wo (2) incidentsof Political Violenceand 1 incidentof Social Violence was recordedduring the period.

Regionally, the Ashanti Region recorded the highest number of incidents, with 19 cases. This is closely followed by the GreaterAccra Region with 16 cases. The Central Region recorded 8 casesand Eastern Region recorded 7 cases. Western and Upper East regions recoded 6 cases each followed by Nort hern region with 5 cases. Savannah and Ahafo regions recorded 3 cases and 2 cases respectively. Five Regions including Bono East, Oti, Bono , Upper West and North East recorded 1 incident each. There were no reported incidents in the Western North and Volta region
