The TOT is being held in Accra from May 5th to May 9th. It is organised by the ATT Secretariat based in Geneva.

The objective of the TOT is to equip a team of experts in West Africa with the capacity and skills to promote the implementation and universalisation of the ATT. Participants include Government officials and CSO representatives including FOSDA AND WAANSA..

The Arms Trade Treaty is a ground breaking UN framework that regulates arms transfers globally. It sets common international standards for the trade in Conventional Arms to minimise illicit Arms Trade, transfers and diversions. The Treaty was first adopted by the General Assembly of the UN in April 2013 and came into force in December 2014.
