The Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) project is a priority area born of the foundation's intersecting interest in human security, governance, and gender equality. FOSDA's commitment to Women Peace and Security seeks to create a West Africa that is more responsive to its women's human security needs by creating more equal and equitable opportunities as well as safe spaces for them to secure their rights, freedoms, and livelihoods. The targets for this Priority Area are based on frameworks such as UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325, the Ghana National Action Plan (GHANAP) 2, and the African Union (AU) continental results framework.
