The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) concerned about the Bawku conflict is calling for a Ceasefire by all parties to the Bawku Conflict. The Coalition about 11 CSOs, convened by FOSDA is also calling on Government to establish and Independent Mediation Committee to find a long term resolution to the age old Bawku Conflict. The Coalition expresses deep concerns about the possibility of the Bawku conflict degenerating into violence beyond the Bawku area. They are also worried that terrorists and extremist elements can take advantage of the situation in Bawku to attack Ghana and call on stakeholder to use dialogue and not force to ensure peace in the area.
