About FOSDA
The Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) is a Human Security civil
society organization dedicated to promoting peace, security, and development in Africa. We
empower communities, particularly youth and women, to participate in governance, conflict
prevention, and sustainable development initiatives. We prioritize influencing as a key project
implementation strategy.

Position Overview

FOSDA is seeking a dynamic and motivated Youth Projects Coordinator to support the
coordination of projects under FOSDA’s Youth Development Programme area. The ideal
candidate should have a passion for youth development, knowledge in development project
management, research and writing capacity and a commitment to creating lasting impact. The
Youth Projects Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities under the Youth
Development thematic programme of FOSDA to contribute to the organisations vision and
mission. The role is 1 year contract renewable.

Specifically, the Youth Projects Coordinator will

  • Coordinate and manage the implementation of FOSDA’s Youth development projects
  • and initiatives.
  • Support proposal writing and fundraising activities
  • Write project reports and develop relevant project materials to highlight project
    impacts.
  • Other tasks as they are assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of the youth development agenda in Ghana and international level is
  • preferred
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate youth development projects.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management, youth engagement, or community
    development (including National Service).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse
    stakeholders.
  • Proven knowledge in applied statistics or training in research and data analysis is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or development studies.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in social media, Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project
    management tools.
  • Being a member of Regional Youth Network/National Network of Youth Groups
    (NNYOG) is a plus.
