On February 15, 2024, representatives from FOSDA visited the Canadian High Commission for an inaugural face-to-face meeting with officials from Global Affairs Canada. With funding support from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the Canadian High Commission in Ghana, FOSDA is undertaking the second phase of its Monitoring Ghana NAP 2 Project. The primary objective is to advance the meaningful participation of women in decision-making processes and across all levels of Peace and Security.

This second phase has been expanded and encompasses additional components such as mini sensitization workshops for various stakeholders, gender training for select security officers, advocacy and influencing engagements by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and the official launch of the FOSDA Women Mediators Network.

The meeting also served to deepen the partnership with our donors, GAC and the Canadian High Commission, particularly in collaboratively working towards the realization of the goals outlined in the Ghana National Action Plan on UNSCR1325.
